Lars Hansson’s work The Animal attracts the viewer’s attention and arouses curiosity. The stringent, gracious shape and the reduced segment allows for free interpretation. What kind of animal are we looking at? Is it a fabulous animal, a horse or a mythological creature from a fairy tale? The work is executed in Norwegian Labradorite – a material that is both demanding and challenging. The glossy, streaky surface flickers in daylight and invites us to touch it.
